Thor: Ragnarok Preview

After a year of monumental Comic Book Movies such as Logan, Wonder Woman and Spider-Man: Homecoming, Marvel Studios will soon release their final salvo of 2017: Thor Ragnarok.

Teased by Kevin Feige as being the film to directly kick off the Infinity War saga, indie director Takia Waititi leads the God of Thunder himself, Chris Hemsworth, his mischievous brother, Loki (Tom Hiddleston), the eponymous All Father, Odin (Anthony Hopkins), their much maligned companion, Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) and a whole range of new and existing characters ranging from the stern (Cate Blanchett’s whistfully enigmatic Hela), to the downright stupendous (whoever Jeff Goldblum is playing) in this third instalment of the otherwise mediocre series of Asgardian films.

So far, each Thor Movie has mostly sat in the mid range territory, never really offering anything significant while keeping the Eye pleased for as long the run time would allow. Early reviews suggest however that Ragnarok bucks this trend in a simply wonderful way. Most have credited Watiti’s hilarious influence in conjunction with Hemsworth’s excellent comedic, and occasional dramatic, performance as the titular Norse God while also commenting on the level of quality displayed by the newly formed “Revengers”

Overall it seems as though Thor Ragnarok is going to be yet another win in the never ending stream of Marvel knockout hits. But what are you most looking forward to seeing?
