September Movie Preview

Don’t Breathe

Release Date 09/09

This looks like it easily be the horror experience of the year. It’s rare to see a movie within the horror genre doing something that hasn’t been done before. If you give a couple of allowances for standard clichés, Don’t Breathe has the potential to haunt audience all the way to Halloween. Definitely looks like one to watch in the dark to truly appreciate

Prediction: DON’T BREATHE WINS BY DECISION, SCORING 27/30

Bridget Jones’ Baby

Release Date 16/09

Hands up who asked to see Renée Zellweger get paid to put weight on and butcher the English the accent? Just me? OK. Bridget Jones’ Baby will probably gross a decent wedge of money and Housewives across the western world will swoon at Colin Firth’s whimsical Britsh mimsy, however, as impartially as I can be, I think this will fall flat on its over-sized underwear with a comical fart sound.

Prediction: BRIDGET JONES’S BABY WINS BY DECISION, SCORING 15/30

Magnificent Seven

Release Date 23/09

Having not seen the original (it’s on the list) I can approach The Magnificent Seven without being hindered by the nostalgia of the much loved orginal. As a fan of the old school western I hold a small level of anticipation when modern day Hollywood try to repackage the joy of the old school. I feel this could be either as good as Django Unchained or as lazy as True Grit, I am hoping it is the former, but something is telling me it won’t be the case

Prediction: THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN WINS BY DECISION, SCORING 21/30
